SOMFY, a French group and global leader in home automation, is seeking an Automation & Industrialization Specialist at the Felgueiras plant. You will manage automation modifications for existing machines and drive new industrialization projects to maximize equipment performance.

You will perform PLC, drive, and HMI programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, Proface), support maintenance with advanced PLC analysis, and develop standards for group automation while tracking KPIs.

Qualificações

• Education: Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or similar (BAC +2/3 or Bac+5).
• Experience: 3–5 years in an industrial environment, in a similar role.
• Technical Mastery: Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal and Step7, and Proface (GP Pro, WinCC).
• Strong knowledge of industrial networks (Profinet, Profibus) and variable speed drives.
• Soft skills: Autonomous, team-oriented, with strong analytical mindset and proactive attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Industrialization & Project Excellence: Manage automation modifications and improvements on existing machines.
• Lead the automation scope within new industrialization projects.
• Carry out PLC, drive, and HMI program modifications (Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, Proface).
• Write and follow control plans during acceptance phases at suppliers and on-site.
• Collaborate in product development by defining industrial and technical constraints.
• Program and optimize robot cycles to enhance productivity.
• Deploy and ensure compliance with Group automation standards.
