Movilges IT Consulting is seeking an Application Security Engineer to strengthen our team in Porto, with a hybrid work option. You will focus on securing software throughout the development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the business.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity, at least 3 years in security engineering with emphasis on application security and DevSecOps, and hands-on containerization experience.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years as a Security Engineer with focus on Application Security and DevSecOps.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, Java, or Go).
• Knowledge of security standards and best practices (OWASP Top 10, ISO 27001).
• Strong analytical skills for threat detection and security analysis.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset aligned with technology modernization and business goals.
• CKA/CKS certifications are valued.
• Fluency in English (B2) required.

About the job Application Security Engineer

We are recruiting an Application Security Engineer (m/f) to strengthen our team in Porto, with the possibility of working in a hybrid mode.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience;
• 3 years of experience (minimum) as a Security Engineer, with focus on Application Security and DevSecOps practices;
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies;
• Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Bash, Java, or Go);
• Knowledge of security standards and best practices, including OWASP Top 10 and ISO 27001;
• Strong analytical skills for threat detection and security analysis;
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders;
• Proactive mindset focused on aligning security requirements with technology modernization and business goals;
• CKA or CKS certifications (valued);
• Fluency in English (B2 mandatory).
