We are looking for an Application Architect to join our team and play a key role in defining and governing solution architectures for large-scale enterprise applications.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing functional and technical architectures, producing implementation-ready specifications, and ensuring the successful delivery of modern, scalable solutions. You will work closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with architectural standards, security requirements, and software quality principles.
The role combines solution architecture, software engineering, and technical leadership, with a strong focus on cloud-native and microservices-based architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Define end-to-end solution architectures aligned with business and technical requirements
- Produce implementation-ready technical specifications and architecture documentation
- Ensure solutions comply with architectural standards, security requirements, and quality guidelines
- Support development teams throughout the implementation lifecycle

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or related roles
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise application architectures
- Strong knowledge of:
- Application architecture
- Microservices architecture
- Hands‑on experience with:

- Spring Boot
- REST APIs (OpenAPI)
- AsyncAPI
- Strong experience with:
- Kubernetes

Other Requirements
- European citizenship (required for projects within European Union institutions)
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon (2 days per week on‑site)
