Komodo Consulting is seeking an Appian Developer to join our technology team on a digital transformation project in Portugal. The role offers hybrid work with 2 days per week in the office in Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra.

You will design and build Appian applications, integrate external systems, and guide solution design in a client-facing environment while mentoring junior team members. English fluency and Appian expertise are essential.

Qualificações

• Senior-level experience in Appian development with process modeling, SAIL, record types.
• Experience integrating systems via Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Strong knowledge of Appian architecture best practices and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.
• Appian certification (Senior or Lead) is a plus.
• Appian RPA or AI Skills is a plus.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop Appian applications, including process models, SAIL interfaces, and record types.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP, Web Services, and Connected Systems.
• Optimize application performance and ensure Appian architecture best practices are followed.
• Participate in the full project lifecycle—from requirements gathering and solution design through to development, testing, and deployment.
• Operate with full technical autonomy, leading solution design decisions in a client-facing environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to more junior team members when applicable.

The Project

We are seeking an Appian Developer to work on a Tech project.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Design and develop Appian applications, including process models, SAIL interfaces, and record types;
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP, Web Services, and Connected Systems;
• Optimize application performance and ensure Appian architecture best practices are followed;
• Participate in the full project lifecycle — from requirements gathering and solution design through to development, testing, and deployment;
• Operate with full technical autonomy, leading solution design decisions in a client-facing environment;
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to more junior team members when applicable.

You need to have the following skills/experience:

• Solid senior-level experience in Appian development, including process modeling, SAIL, record types, and integrations;
• Proven experience integrating systems via Web Services (REST/SOAP);
• Strong knowledge of Appian architecture best practices and performance optimization;
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
• English proficiency at B2 level or above;
• Appian certification (Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer) is a plus;
• Experience with Appian RPA or AI Skills is a plus;
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is a plus.

Location

Lisboa, Braga or Coimbra (Hybrid - 2 days per week at the office).
