We’re partnering with a global, consumer-facing technology company operating at a significant international scale. This is a remote-first organisation that brings together top engineering talent across Europe, offering the flexibility contractors want alongside the backing, data volume, and brand strength of a globally recognised platform.

This role offers long-term potential, with a strong roadmap of ML initiatives and continued product investment. You’ll join an established ML function led by experienced senior managers and engineers who have built and scaled production-grade recommendation systems before. It’s an environment where you’ll gain exposure to high standards of engineering, strong mentorship, and complex real-world ML challenges.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Designing and improving large-scale recommendation and ranking systems
• Powering discovery, personalisation, and search experiences
• Developing commercially aware and ad-embedded recommendations
• Supporting social, location, and destination-based recommendation models
• Optimising ML systems across multiple competing business and user objectives
• Collaborating with ML, backend, and product teams across Europe

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years’ professional experience in Machine Learning
• Proven experience building and operating production recommendation systems
• Background in marketplaces, ranking, search, or personalisation
• Strong Python skills with an applied ML engineering approach
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Comfortable working in a fully remote, international environment
