Planck Technologies seeks an experienced Backend Software Engineer to design and implement scalable services powering intelligent applications and autonomous workflows.

You will build orchestration services that coordinate AI agents, APIs, ERP integrations, and human approvals, while ensuring robust security and observability across the platform.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Backend Software Engineering with distributed systems and cloud-native apps.
• Strong background in modern engineering practices and design principles.
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms via REST APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Minimum Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Backend Software Engineering, with strong exposure to distributed systems, cloud-native applications, integration architectures, and scalable backend platforms.

Main Requirements

• Strong experience in Backend Software Development following modern engineering practices and design principles
• Solid knowledge of Distributed Systems, APIs, Asynchronous Processing, and Event-Driven Architectures
• Proven experience building Cloud-Native Applications and Microservices Architectures
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms through REST APIs, messaging systems, and event-based architectures
• Strong understanding of Workflow Orchestration, State Management, long-running processes, retries, and fault recovery patterns
• Experience designing resilient, maintainable, and reusable software architectures
• Knowledge of Authentication, Authorization, API Security, and secure software development practices
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with enterprise integrations involving ERP, business applications, identity providers, collaboration tools, and external data sources
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including AI Engineers, Product Managers, Platform Engineers, Data Engineers, and domain specialists
• Exposure to AI Agent Frameworks, workflow automation platforms, or AI‑assisted engineering tools is considered a strong advantage

Nice to Have

• Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, or similar
• Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Camunda, Airflow, or equivalent technologies
• Knowledge of observability tools, monitoring, tracing, logging, and telemetry solutions
• Experience contributing to AI-driven software development practices and automation initiatives

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services that power intelligent applications and autonomous workflows
• Build orchestration services that coordinate AI agents, business rules, enterprise APIs, and human approval processes
• Develop scalable APIs and service interfaces for web applications, automation platforms, and AI-driven systems
• Design workflow execution patterns supporting long-running business processes, retries, state persistence, approvals, and recovery mechanisms
• Integrate enterprise platforms including ERP systems, identity providers, collaboration tools, business applications, and external data sources
• Build reusable platform services for retrieval, context management, memory handling, tool execution, and business process automation
• Implement authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement across backend services and platform components
• Ensure platform observability through logging, metrics, tracing, monitoring, and telemetry
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Machine Learning, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, and Product Management teams
• Drive engineering productivity through automation, reusable platform components, AI-assisted development practices, and contributions to the Agentic Software Development Lifecycle (ASDLC)
