ITSector is seeking an AI Engineer with 2+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications and intelligent agents in a hybrid work model in Lisbon, Portugal. You will build integrations with enterprise systems, create scalable knowledge pipelines, and ensure production-ready AI solutions using modern tools and cloud platforms.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering, AI or similar.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience developing AI-based solutions.
• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art LLMs (GPT, Gemini, Claude, Llama, Mistral).
• Design prompting strategies and optimize model performance for production use.
• Experience building AI agent applications with LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK, Microsoft Agent Framework, or comparable technologies.
• Understanding of agent workflows, multi-step reasoning, memory management, tool calling, and state orchestration.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming, APIs, databases, and scalable SOA.
• Experience designing AI pipelines for ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and response generation.
• Knowledge of GDPR compliance and privacy best practices.
• Written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English).

• Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art LLMs such as GPT, Gemini, Claude, Llama, Mistral, or equivalent models;
• Ability to design effective prompting strategies and optimize model performance for production use;
• Experience building AI agent applications using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK, Microsoft Agent Framework, or comparable technologies;
• Understanding of agent workflows, multi-step reasoning, memory management, tool calling, and state orchestration;
• Strong Python development skills;
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming, API development, relational and NoSQL databases, and scalable service-oriented architectures;
• Experience designing and implementing AI pipelines for document ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and response generation;
• Understanding of AI quality evaluation, latency optimization, and cost monitoring;
• Experience working with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or equivalent cloud environments;
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD practices;
• Familiarity with cloud security, identity management (IAM), and deployment automation;
• Familiarity with AI-powered software development tools, including GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted testing, code review, and development workflows;
• Experience implementing secure secret management and applying data governance and privacy best practices, including GDPR compliance;
• Written and verbal communication skills (Portuguese and English);
• Passion for learning and staying up to date with the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and agile teams;
