Solvay is seeking an AI Champion to drive ML, GenAI, LLMs and Agentic AI within its PMO and Process Improvement team. You will apply advanced AI in Microsoft Azure, partner with colleagues across functions to embed AI into enterprise workflows, and ensure governance and ethics in all AI initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data science and GenAI, with strong Python and ML framework skills, and a track record of delivering scalable AI solutions in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Relevant education degree in Business Informatics, Data Science and AI or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Science, GenAI and Agentic AI-focused roles.
• Familiarity with Azure and cloud-based AI deployment is a plus.

Responsabilités

About The Role

Our PMO (Project Management Office) and Process Improvement department, composed of 6 people, has evolved from a traditional PMO and Continuous Improvement team into a team that also drives AI transformation. As a AI Champion, you will be responsible for applying Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI (GenAI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and cutting-edge Agentic AI technologies in Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Also act as the go-to person for AI adoption and AI projects within the business.

You will be accountable for:

• Explore and implement Agentic AI frameworks to enable autonomous decision-making and multi-step reasoning in AI systems
• Build and fine-tune LLMs for domain-specific applications, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Design, develop, and deploy advanced ML models, GenAI & Agentic AI solutions to solve complex business problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions into enterprise workflows.
• Ensure compliance with ethical AI practices, data governance, and security standards.

We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode (2 days a week if you are from the Lisbon metropolitan area or 2 days a month if you live outside the Lisbon metropolitan area).

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Business Informatics, Data Science and AI or Computer Science. Relevant work experience with minimum 5 years of experience in Data science, GenAI & Agentic AI -focused.

Competencies

• Practical knowledge and experience in Agentic AI architectures, multi-agent systems, and autonomous workflows in Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI models (e.g., GPT, diffusion models) and LLM fine-tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (mainly Azure, but other is a plus AWS, GCP).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF).
• Project Management; project preparation, planning, animation of workshops, training and stakeholder- and change management.

About The Pay

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is € 48,400 - € 60,500 per year in Portugal.

Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
