emagine is seeking an experienced AI Architect to join our internal AI team in Portugal. You will shape scalable, secure AI solutions from PoC to production and collaborate with Architecture, IT Strategy, and delivery teams.

The role requires 8+ years in IT with a focus on AI and emerging technologies, strong architectural judgment, and stakeholder management to translate business needs into robust technical designs.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of professional IT experience.
• Proven experience designing and delivering AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures, integration patterns, APIs, data flows, and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience defining solution patterns, architecture principles, technical decision records, and architecture guardrails.
• Experience with security and privacy considerations for AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and technology governance.
• Experience supporting AI strategy, roadmaps, or technology transformation initiatives is desirable.
• Ability to translate business and strategic requirements into robust technical architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with internal Architecture teams to define AI solution architectures, technical designs, and solution patterns.
• Define appropriate integration approaches and architecture guardrails for AI use cases.
• Provide architecture and design assurance throughout the lifecycle of AI initiatives.
• Develop and maintain architecture views, technical decision records, and governance materials.
• Assess AI solutions against enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and technology standards.
• Support the definition of scalable and production-ready architectures as AI initiatives evolve from PoC to production.
• Work collaboratively with AI, Data Engineering, IT, Security, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to architectural reviews and provide technical guidance on AI initiatives.
• Support AI Strategy reviews, updates, and roadmap-related activities when required.
• Help ensure consistency, scalability, and reusability across the organisation's growing AI portfolio.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced AI Architect to join an internal AI team and support the development and execution of its AI Strategy. This role will work closely with Architecture, IT Strategy, and delivery teams to shape scalable, secure, and sustainable AI solutions, supporting the evolution of AI initiatives from proof of concept through to production.

The AI Architect will be responsible for defining architectural approaches for AI use cases, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security and privacy requirements, and broader technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal Architecture teams to define AI solution architectures, technical designs, and solution patterns.
• Define appropriate integration approaches and architecture guardrails for AI use cases.
• Provide architecture and design assurance throughout the lifecycle of AI initiatives.
• Develop and maintain architecture views, technical decision records, and governance materials.
• Assess AI solutions against enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and technology standards.
• Support the definition of scalable and production-ready architectures as AI initiatives evolve from Proof of Concept (PoC) to production.
• Work collaboratively with AI, Data Engineering, IT, Security, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to architectural reviews and provide technical guidance on AI-related initiatives.
• Support the IT Architecture Manager and IT Strategy, Performance and Delivery Manager with AI Strategy reviews, updates, and roadmap-related activities when required.
• Help ensure consistency, scalability, and reusability across the organisation's growing AI portfolio.
• Provide technical input into architecture governance and strategic technology decisions.

Required Experience & Skills

• 8+ years of professional IT experience – mandatory minimum.
• Strong experience in Solution Architecture / Technical Architecture, with a focus on AI and emerging technologies.
• Proven experience designing and delivering AI solutions and architectures.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML architectures, integration patterns, APIs, data flows, and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience defining solution patterns, architecture principles, technical decision records, and architecture guardrails.
• Experience with security and privacy considerations for AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and technology governance.
• Experience supporting AI strategy, roadmaps, or technology transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
• Ability to translate business and strategic requirements into robust technical architectures.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
