ebankIT is seeking an AI Architect Leader to shape the AI vision for its omnichannel digital banking platform. This full-time, on-site role in Porto challenges you to align AI strategy with product and financial services while driving scalable architectures around LLMs, GenAI, and AI agents.

You will lead technical decisions on model selection, orchestration, data, security, and cost, and mentor engineers to elevate the firm’s AI engineering capabilities.

Role Overview

We are looking for a technology leader who is genuinely excited about turning AI into real products, real capabilities and real business value. The AI Architect Leader will define and drive the technical vision for AI across our digital banking platform, working at the intersection of AI, software architecture, product and financial services. This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

What you’ll be doing

• Design scalable architectures around LLMs, GenAI, AI agents, RAG and intelligent automation;
• Turn emerging AI capabilities into production-ready solutions, not just proofs of concept;
• Establish patterns, standards and best practices for building secure, observable and responsible AI systems;
• Lead technical decisions around model selection, orchestration, data, integration, security and cost.

What you’re good at

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills;
• Curiosity, pragmatic and the able to turn ideas into production systems;
• Ability to work effectively across teams and build trust-based partnerships;
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering results.

What you have

• Experience with technologies such as LLMs, GenAI, RAG, AI agents, cloud platforms and modern software architecture;
• Experience working with international markets environments;
• Fluency in English (mandatory);
• Availability to travel internationally.
