Job summary

Grupo Nortempo is seeking an Accountant (M/F) for a client in Porto to manage group accounting, internal controls, and monthly closings. You will liaise with partners, prepare tax and audit packages, and contribute to process improvements in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires an accounting/finance degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with English fluency and ERP proficiency. End of April 2027 contract, potential renewal, €1,800–€2,400, with a €9.60 meal allowance.

Qualifications

• Business School or financial & accounting related degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related environment or in an audit firm.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Group accounting policies are applied.
• Ensure internal control procedures are applied (ICOFr framework).
• Participate in efficiency and continuous improvement of processes and tools.
• Perform monthly closing tasks.
• Provide monthly package to our partners when applicable.
• Review monthly package received from our partners when applicable.
• Analyze Balance sheet at consolidation level, IFRS and Directional reporting.
• Participate in contract analysis and related legal documents (Shareholders Agreement, service agreement).
• Provide audit package and liaise with external auditors.
• Ad hoc requests from Accounting Lead/Manager.
• Prepare Tax package for Group with Tax Manager.
• Liaise with partners to obtain accurate data when applicable.
• Participation in Tax reporting.
• Prepare financial statements for entities under your scope including audit and filing.
• Support partners with their financial statements.
• Ad hoc audit missions if needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Business School or financial & accounting related degree;
• Experience (functions, duration): Minimum 2 year of experience in a related environment or an audit firm;
• IT tools (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Power point), ERP;
• Internal control;
• Knowledge IFRS 15 Revenue Recognition, IFRS 16 Leases and IAS 37 provision, contingent Liabilities and Assets and others;
• Statutory accounting and tax requirements in an international Environment;
• Fluency in English is essential for communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties.

OFFER

• Initial contract until the end of April 2027;
• Salary between €1,800 and €2,400, based on experience;
• Meal allowance of €9.60;

• There is a strong possibility of a contract with the company following this initial period.
