The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Account Executive - Security to join our dynamic sales team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and growth of Cisco's cutting‑edge security solutions within key accounts. You will act as a trusted advisor, understanding customer challenges, and positioning Cisco's integrated security architecture to enhance their resilience and protect their critical assets. What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve and exceed sales quotas for Cisco's security portfolio.
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities, as well as expand existing relationships within assigned accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with C‑level executives and key decision‑makers, understanding their business objectives and security needs.
  • Conduct in‑depth discovery conversations to uncover customer pain points related to network security, cloud security, endpoint protection, identity, and threat intelligence.
  • Present and articulate the value of Cisco's security solutions through compelling presentations and demonstrations in close collaboration with the Solutions Engineering Team.
  • Partner effectively with the rest of the Cisco stakeholders, including Portfolio Sales, Solutions Engineering, Marketing, Channel Partners and Customer Experience to deliver comprehensive solutions and ensure customer success.
  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities and maintain up‑to‑date records in our internal tools.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging security threats to effectively position Cisco's offerings.
  • Negotiate and close complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for Cisco and our customers.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of proven sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically selling cybersecurity solutions to enterprise or commercial accounts.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and market trends (e.g., network security, cloud security, endpoint security, identity and access management, threat detection and response).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and establish trusted advisor relationships.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑oriented with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling Cisco security solutions.
  • Familiarity with solution‑selling methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC).
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CCNA Security).
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and leveraging channel partners.
