Job summary

LTM is seeking a VMware vSphere Admin Specialist for Krakow on a 6-month contract (Sub-Con or B2B). Rate is 150 PLN per hour, with on-site work in Krakow.

You will administer and support VMware vSphere 8 and ESXi 8, ensure stability, and provide L2/L3 support, patching, and lifecycle management in enterprise production environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of VMware Administration experience.
• Strong hands-on with VMware vSphere 8, ESXi 8 and vCenter Server.
• Deep knowledge of vSphere HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion.

Responsibilities

Administer and support VMware vSphere 8 and ESXi 8 environments in enterprise production settings

Ensure operational stability availability resilience and performance of virtualization platforms

• Provide L2L3 support for VMware incidents outages and performance issues
• Configure manage and maintain vCenter Server environments
• Manage clusters resource pools templates snapshots permissions roles alarms and inventory administration
• Support vSphere HA DRS vMotion Storage vMotion and admission control configurations
• Implement infrastructure changes upgrades patching firmware updates and lifecycle management activities
• Manage ESXi host deployment compliance remediation and lifecycle operations
• Perform virtualization troubleshooting including VM performance issues host failures datastore issues and connectivity problems
• Support backup recovery disaster recovery and business continuity requirements
• Conduct capacity planning performance monitoring and root cause analysis
• Integrate VMware environments with enterprise storage networking monitoring backup identity and security platforms
• Drive automation operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in shift support and rotational oncall activities

Requirement

• 5 years of VMware Administration experience
• Strong handson experience with VMware vSphere 8, ESXi 8, vCenter Server
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, Virtual Machines, Clusters, Resource Pools, Templates, Snapshots, Virtual Hardware, Experience managing, Cluster Configuration.
• Role Based Access such as Permissions, Alarms Lifecycle Management Inventory Administration
• Deep expertise in vSphere High Availability HA, Distributed Resource Scheduler DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, Admission Control
• Strong VMware Networking knowledge, Standard Switches Distributed Switches Port Groups VLANs NIC Teaming Uplinks Network Troubleshooting
• Strong VMware Storage knowledge, VMFS NFS Fibre Channel iSCSI Multipathing Datastores Storage Performance
• Experience with ESXi Deployment, Upgrades, Patching, Firmware Coordination, Compliance Management
• Knowledge of vSphere Lifecycle Manager and image-based lifecycle management
• Experience performing, Capacity Planning, Performance Analysis, Root Cause Investigations,m Incident Resolution
• Strong Linux Administration skills, RHEL, User Management Filesystems, Services Processes Networking Logging Patching Bash Scripting
