Job summary

Solid Company is seeking an experienced VMware Administrator to join the data center team in Kraków. You will administer, maintain, and optimise VMware vSphere 8 and ESXi 8 environments, ensuring high availability, stability, and performance.

You will manage vCenter Server, configure HA/DRS/vMotion, monitor capacity, and collaborate with networking and storage teams to deliver resilient infrastructure. Strong scripting skills and Linux/Windows server experience are a plus.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience administering VMware vSphere 8 in enterprise environments.
Deep knowledge of vCenter Server, cluster management and lifecycle tasks.
Experience with HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion and admission control.
Strong Linux/UNIX admin skills (RHEL) and Windows Server administration.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimise VMware vSphere 8 and ESXi 8 environments.
Manage vCenter Server, clusters, permissions, roles, alarms, and inventory.
Configure and maintain vSphere HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion.
Handle virtual networking and storage configurations, including datastores.
Perform ESXi deployments, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
Monitor performance, investigate incidents, and perform root-cause analysis.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance with ITSM and SLAs.
