Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Senior Regulatory Engineer to join Regulatory Engineering. You will help deliver cloud-native platform uplifts and AI-enabled workflows to meet global regulatory reporting obligations for GBM across jurisdictions.

You will collaborate with technology and business teams to implement secure, high‑performing systems, lead technical discussions, and mentor engineers through complex migrations to modern architectures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience designing real-time distributed processing systems.
• Experience migrating large on‑prem to cloud Lakehouse environments (AWS preferred).
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Strong cloud architecture and containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience building secure, highly available systems at enterprise scale.
• Experience with Kafka and ElasticSearch.
• Ability to build AI-first user interfaces and integrate LLM features.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering or equivalent.
• Engineering leadership background (Senior Tech Lead/Manager).
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation and model fine-tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and guide the team effectively.
