Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking a senior Regulatory Engineer to join our Global Regulatory Engineering team. You will help uplift platforms to cloud-native architectures, lead technical discussions, and partner with global technology and business teams to meet regulatory obligations across jurisdictions.

The role requires 8+ years in real-time processing, cloud migrations, and strong programming skills in Python, C++, or Java.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years’ experience with real-time distributed processing systems and event processing architecture.
• Experience with migrations from on-premises to cloud-based Lakehouse environments (preferably AWS).
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, managed services, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Developing, testing, and maintaining production-grade code.
• Building AI-first UIs with generative features and streaming LLM responses.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to projects by leading technical discussions, design, development and testing.
• Define and enforce development processes and best practices.
• Lead by example and guide the team effectively.
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to fulfill regulatory obligations.
