Hitachi Energy Poland is seeking an R&D Team Manager for Valve Electronics in Krakow. You will lead a team of engineers, guiding the full lifecycle from concept to deployment, influencing technology roadmaps and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electronics R&D, including at least 3 years in a leadership or senior technical role.
• Proven expertise in embedded systems, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and analog/digital circuit design.
• Strong understanding of control systems, algorithm development, and product verification methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage complex projects, and drive innovation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of R&D engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Oversee the full product development lifecycle for valve electronics systems, from concept to production support.
• Define project scope, priorities, timelines, and resources to align with business objectives.
• Drive research and evaluation of emerging technologies to strengthen competitiveness.
• Guide design and development of embedded systems, control algorithms, sensor integration, and comms solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams for successful integration.
• Oversee verification/validation activities, including HIL simulations and physical testing.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and quality processes and report progress.
