Job summary

Hitachi Energy Poland SP. Z O.O. is seeking an Electronics Engineer to strengthen the Valve Electronics team in Krakow. You will contribute to the MACH project, developing hardware for HVDC systems and ensuring reliability and robustness from idea through production.

The role requires a degree in Electronics Engineering and 2+ years in analog circuit design, with experience in power electronics, EMC, and lab testing. Hybrid work is encouraged with a modern facility and strong team support.

Job Description: The opportunity Now we are looking for enthusiasts who would like to strengthen our growing team in Hitachi Energy Technology Center in Krakow, contributing to the heart of HVDC station: Modular Advanced Control for HVDC (MACH). You will join Valve Electronics team lead by Yuriy Puchkov, applying your knowledge and skills in technology and product development. You will work in comfortable office with great transport communication (near central station), with modern equipment in our brand-new on-site laboratory area. Our organization will support your competence development, knowledge sharing, work-life balance, harmony of diversity. Our teammates are open-minded, friendly, and working in good spirit. How you will make an impact You will see how your personal efforts converted to real product improvements, impacting evolution of electrical grids, making it more green, reliable, and resilient. You will participate in development and maintenance of MACH products in Valve Electronics domain, making them even more reliable and robust, influencing HVDC and GPQSS technology of Hitachi. You will share your competence with the organization, making our product development process more efficient, driving improvements in our documentation, design and testing infrastructure to make it adequate for current and future needs. You will contribute to the full lifecycle of hardware platform for Control & Protection system, from ideas, requirements, simulations, prototyping, testing up to release & sustaining production. You will participate in technical reviews and project planning

Your background
  • At least Master/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • At least 2 years professional analogue circuit board design experience, including design quality and reliability (DFMEA, MTBF, etc) and tools (e.g. SPICE, Altium, Zuken CADSTAR, PADS…).
  • Experience in Power Electronics – industry proven topologies, modern semiconductor components and magnetics, design for 1kV and above.
  • Understanding of EMC principles, Power Integrity and management.
  • Experience with laboratory test and measurement equipment, circuit boards testing and reworking, metrology fundamentals.
  • Understanding electronic circuit boards manufacturing process (PCB, PCBA, DFM, etc).
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and good communication skills.
  • English language – at least Intermediate / B2.
