Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Warsaw seeks a Valuation Control Analyst to join the Finance Division's independent valuation team. You will perform IPV, valuation adjustments, and fair value levelling while coordinating with front office, risk, and accounting stakeholders.

The role emphasizes accuracy, documentation, and controls as you prepare reports for senior management and regulators. A 1–3 year finance background and strong Excel and English skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• Relevant professional experience of 1–3 years or demonstrated interest in Finance (valuations, risk, product control, or similar).
• Knowledge of financial products and valuation principles; understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts.
• Strong computer literacy, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication at minimum B2.

Responsibilities

• Perform valuation control related core production: Independent Price Verification (IPV), Valuation Adjustments, Fair Value Levelling.
• Own or contribute to tasks relating to reporting, projects or analysis of results and significant matters.
• Analyze and reconcile valuation differences between front office marks and independent valuations, with explanations and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Front Office traders, Risk Management, Markets Controllers and other stakeholders to resolve valuation issues.
• Ensure design and execution of controls are robust.
• Assist in preparing valuation reports and presentations for senior management, internal committees, and regulators.
