Job summary

Altium Limited, part of the Renesas Group, and headquartered in San Diego, California, is seeking a UX Researcher to shape end‑to‑end experiences for Altium 365. You will own the research practice and collaborate with designers, PMs, and engineers from problem framing to post‑launch validation.

You’ll build a searchable insights repository, run interviews and usability tests, and coach teams to conduct lightweight studies while delivering clear, evidence‑based recommendations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in UX/product research or closely adjacent role with hands-on research.
• Solid command of qualitative methods and ability to design surveys and interpret analytics.
• Experience testing prototypes at different fidelities and interpreting results.
• Clear communication to land findings with stakeholders quickly.
• Comfort working in ambiguity and scoping research to fit timelines.
• Familiarity with research ops tooling (Dovetail, Condens, Maze, UserTesting, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Talk to users regularly: recruit, screen, schedule, incentivize, consent.
• Run interviews, diary studies, and surveys to gather actionable insights.
• Validate ideas and prototypes with usability and concept tests.
• Build and maintain a searchable insights repository across product areas.
• Coach teams to run lightweight studies and share findings effectively.
