Job summary

JD.com’s JINGDONG Logistics is seeking an experienced Transportation Operations Specialist to coordinate domestic and international shipments, negotiate rates, and ensure compliant, on-time deliveries. You will work with carriers, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate with warehousing, procurement, and sales teams, using a TMS and Excel to plan, track, and report results.

Fluent English and Polish required; English; degree in logistics preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transportation operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of domestic and international freight forwarding processes and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and manage vendor relationships.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive issue resolution.
• Effective communication in English and Polish; Chinese is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; degree or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule domestic and international transportation of goods (FTL, LTL, parcel).
• Monitor and track shipments, proactively resolving delays or issues.
• Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers for cost-effective logistics.
• Manage carrier relationships, performance evaluation, and contracts.
• Process shipping documentation including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Optimize routes and modes to improve efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate with warehousing, procurement, and sales to align logistics activities.
• Use TMS and other software for planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Prepare and analyze transportation reports, identifying trends and improvements.

About The Team

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule domestic and international transportation of goods, including full truckload (FTL), less than truckload (LTL), and parcel shipments.
• Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, proactively identifying and resolving any delays or issues.
• Negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers to ensure cost‑effective and reliable transportation solutions.
• Manage carrier relationships, including performance evaluation and contract compliance.
• Process shipping documentation accurately and efficiently, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and delivery notes.
• Optimize transportation routes and modes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet delivery deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with warehousing, procurement, and sales teams to align transportation activities with overall supply chain objectives.
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other software tools for planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Prepare and analyse transportation reports, identifying trends and recommending improvements.

Job Qualifications

• Proven experience in transportation operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably within a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong understanding of domestic and international freight forwarding processes and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with carriers and manage vendor relationships.
• Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Polish, Chinese is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
• A degree or vocational training in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
