Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY POLAND SP. Z O.O. is seeking a Training & Development Specialist to assess production capacity training needs, lead recruitment, and design onboarding for blue-collar staff at the Lodz site.

You will serve as the main OJT trainer, collaborate with production and quality teams, and push a Blue-Collar Training School concept to standardize skills and certifications. The role requires extensive lean experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and fluency in English and Polish.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in an Insulation Kit Centers workshop environment.
• Lean Management experience; Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt is a strong advantage.
• Fluency in English and Polish.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with production employees.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs and gaps in alignment with Operations and Coordination teams.
• Lead recruitment for blue-collar employees and support onboarding in their first month.
• Design and implement onboarding programs at production stations and upskilling initiatives.
• Act as On-the-Job Training (OJT) Trainer and coordinate with trainers as needed.
• Develop and advance the concept of a Blue-Collar Training School.

How you'll make an impact

• Assess production capacity, blue-collar workforce capabilities, knowledge and certification gaps, and training needs in close alignment with Operations and Coordination teams
• Lead the recruitment process for new blue-collar employees and provide dedicated support during their first month of work on the production floor
• Design and implement first-month onboarding programs at production stations, as well as reskilling and upskilling initiatives
• Act as the main On-the-Job Training (OJT) Trainer and cooperate with internal and external trainers depending on business needs
• Create and further develop the concept of a Blue-Collar Training School
• Conduct Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions to strengthen OJT skills among production leaders
• Ensure effective certification processes and alignment with defined competency frameworks
• Lead collaboration with Production Engineering and Quality teams to validate training content and materials, and to develop training materials and process visualizations
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert, supporting operations and helping to resolve complex production challenges.

Your background

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in an Insulation Kit Centers workshop environment
• Lean Management experience: strong practical problem-solving skills required (Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt is a strong advantage)
• Fluency in English and Polish
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with production employees
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools
