Job summary

Atos in Kraków is seeking an experienced Software Test Specialist to analyze requirements, create and execute test scenarios, and drive quality across projects. You will work with German documentation, coordinate with BAs and developers, and ensure defects are tracked and resolved efficiently.

The role requires 2+ years of testing experience, knowledge of testing methodologies, and familiarity with Jira/X-Ray/Zephyr and Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• 2 years of documented experience in software testing.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, X-Ray, Zephyr, Azure DevOps).
• Fundamentals of SQL and analytical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis of requirements and business scenarios, including feedback to Business Analysts and clarification of gaps.
• Create test scenarios and test cases with data and expected results based on German documentation.
• Map test cases to project requirements and execute tests with traceability.
• Annotate actual results, compare with expected results, and update test artifacts.
• Maintain test scenarios through process changes and raise defects; conduct root cause analysis with dev team and BAs.
• Re-test defect resolutions and support users during UAT.
• Participate in meetings with End Customers and present solutions (demos).

Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

• providing analysis of requirements and business scenarios/user stories, including delivering feedback to Business Analysts and getting clarifications on possible gaps and discrepancies
• creation of Test Scenarios and Test Cases including test data and expected results based on documentation available in German
• mapping of test cases against project requirements
• executing designed tests, annotating the actual results, and comparing them against expected results
• maintaining the test scenarios during process changes
• raising defects during testing and conducting root cause analysis when needed in cooperation with dev team and BAs, including triage meetings
• re-testing defects resolutions
• supporting the users performing UAT
• participating in meetings with End Customers and presentation of solutions (demos)

Skills We Can't Do Without

• Effective communication in German (B2/C1 level)
• English min. B1
• At least 2 years of documented experience in field of software testing
• Good knowledge of software testing methodologies and SDLC
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools, e.g. Jira/X-Ray/Zephyr, Azure DevOps,
• Fundamentals of SQL
• Analytical mind and problem-solving skills
• Communication and open approach to people
• Willingness to take initiative and responsibilityGood organization of work, attention to details

Skills We Believe Are Nice To Have

• ISTQB Foundation course or certificate would be desired advantage
• Knowledge of REST & SOAP API testing with SOAP UI, Postman, or another tool
• Experience with SAP/SAP testing
• Basic experience with test automation, especially with Tosca Tricentis
