Job summary

Commerzbank Digital Technology Centre Poland in Łódź is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to shape robust test frameworks and drive automation across teams. You will architect scalable solutions, mentor colleagues and ensure long-term maintainability using Java and CI/CD.

You will work with multiple teams, define contract testing strategies, tackle synchronization issues, and monitor test quality gates. Fluent English and Polish are required, and you will join a dynamic banking tech hub.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
• Strong Java OO skills and automation integration.
• Hands-on Selenium WebDriver for browser testing and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for backend data validation.
• Proficient with Git version control and code repositories.
• Experience with API testing using Postman and RestAssured.
• Fluent in English and Polish (minimum B2).

Responsibilities

• Architect and build critical test frameworks for multiple teams.
• Define strategy for contract testing between microservices.
• Solve complex synchronization and parallel execution issues.
• Establish quality gates in the pipeline and ensure standards.
• Guide the team during technical planning and resolve blockers.
• Analyze test metrics to identify brittle tests and plan improvements.
• Write ADRs to document framework choices.
• Mentor junior and professional engineers.
• Advise product management on technical feasibility of quality goals.
• Drive adoption of new tools to speed feedback.
