Commerzbank AG – Poland is seeking a Test Automation Engineer for the FlexHub team. This internal delivery capability works with business units across locations including Łódź, Frankfurt, and Sofia.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automating test frameworks using Java.
• Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver and cross‑browser testing.
• Strong SQL querying for backend validation.
• Experience in API testing with Postman/RestAssured.
• Proficient with Git and CI/CD tooling.
• Fluent English and Polish (min B2).

Responsibilities

• Architect and build critical test frameworks that support multiple teams.
• Define the strategy for contract testing between microservices.
• Solve complex synchronization and parallel execution issues.
• Establish quality gates in the pipeline and ensure adherence to standards.
• Guide the team during technical planning and help resolve blockers.
• Analyze test metrics to identify brittle tests and plan improvements.
• Write architectural decision records (ADRs) to track framework choices.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers to advance their careers.
• Advise product management on the technical feasibility of quality goals.
• Drive adoption of new tools to increase feedback velocity.

As a Specialist Test Automation Engineer at flexhub, you drive the technical quality and architecture of our test frameworks. You architect scalable solutions, mentor junior colleagues, and solve the most difficult automation challenges we face. Your deep expertise in Java and CI/CD allows you to make decisions that ensure long-term maintainability. You are the technical anchor your team relies on.

Your main tasks are:

• Expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries for backend testing, data validation, and analysis across relational databases.
• Proficiency in Git for version control, including branching, merging, and maintaining clean code repositories.
• Experiencein API testing with tools like Postman and RestAssured, validating response structures and automating integration tests.
• Fluency in English and Polish at a minimum B2 level
