Job summary

Valeo is expanding its R&D activities at the Czechowice site and is seeking a Test and Validation Engineer. You will oversee the full lifecycle of testing and validation from preparation to reporting, supporting the growth of our testing capabilities focused on Low Voltage Electromechanical Actuators (eMA).

Responsibilities include planning, failure analysis, part examinations, and coordinating test benches, with hands-on support for prototype testing and lab operations.

With the expansion of R&D activities at our Valeo Czechowice site, we are looking for a Test and Validation Engineer to join our team.

You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of testing and validation procedures - from preparation and monitoring to expert analysis and reporting. You support the continuous expansion of our testing capabilities. The Team’s core focus is on Low Voltage Electromechanical Actuators (eMA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in test planning and execute testing accordingly.
• Conduct failure analysis, providing clear conclusions.
• Perform expert part examinations focused on identifying potential mechanical failures.
• Participate in project reviews and technical meetings.
• Support prototype assembly and testing activities as required.

Testing & Analysis:

• Participate in test planning and execute testing accordingly.

Systems & Equipment:

• Operate signal acquisition systems (electrical, mechanical and thermal).
• Utilize diagnostic tools including multimeters, oscilloscopes and data loggers.
• Oversee the development, maintenance, and calibration of test benches and laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate the launch and integration of new test benches.
• Participate in optimization of the Test Center area.

Key Requirements & Competencies:

Technical Expertise:

• Strong foundation in electromechanical systems and signal acquisition.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to troubleshoot complex failures and propose engineering solutions.
• Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple test schedules and maintaining lab standards.
• Communication: Comfortable presenting technical results in project and customer-facing environments.

Desirable:

• LabView (National Instrument) skills.
• CANBUS experience, Vector products familiarity (CANoe, CANalyzer).
