Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Test & Validation Design Leader for Smart Actuators (M/F/D) to drive engineering governance and robust validation across automotive programs. You will oversee design validation efforts, lead technical reviews, and interact with customers to ensure alignment with requirements and budgets.

The role combines leadership of complex validation activities with hands-on analysis, simulations, and collaboration across a global team in a dynamic automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering from a technical university.
• Solid background in Automotive or Laboratory environments with leadership potential or experience.
• Professional level English communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and control activities following CPM and internal design rules.
• Ensure robust design and validation aligned with economic targets and client requirements.
• Prepare and lead Engineering Discipline validation reviews and support calculations/simulations for tests.
• Estimate and manage budgets and resources to meet milestones and budgets.
• Serve as primary technical contact for the customer on Test & Validation content.
• Report progress and escalate technical/timing risks to the Product Technical Manager/Leader.

You will review internal and customer requirements to ensure 100% alignment.* **Technical Leadership:** Prepare and lead Engineering Discipline validation reviews.
