Position Summary
The Technical Services Engineer provides technical engineering support to the component repair workshop, with a particular focus on damage assessment and preparing technical requests requiring OEM repair schemes or technical disposition. The role works closely with Production to ensure that damage is correctly assessed, measured, photographed, and documented before submission to the OEM, minimizing additional information requests and avoiding unnecessary delays. The Technical Services Engineer acts as the technical interface with OEM engineering departments and follows technical cases through to receipt and implementation of the approved repair scheme.
Responsibilities

- Assess damage against applicable CMM, SRM, drawings and other approved maintenance data to determine whether an OEM repair scheme or technical disposition is required.
- Work directly with technicians, Certifying Staff and Workshop Supervisors to ensure damage is correctly identified, measured and documented.
- Prepare complete and technically accurate damage assessment reports for submission to OEM engineering departments.
- Ensure reports contain all required information, including component identification, damage location and dimensions, photographs, marked-up drawings, inspection results, previous repairs and applicable maintenance data references.
- Review damage assessment packages before submission and identify missing or insufficient information to minimize additional OEM queries.
- Act as the technical focal point for communication with OEM engineering departments regarding repair requests and technical queries.
- Submit and proactively follow up on open OEM repair requests to minimize impact on Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Coordinate and respond to OEM requests for additional technical information together with Production.
- Review received OEM repair schemes and technical dispositions and ensure requirements are clearly understood before release to Production.
- Provide technical support to Production during implementation of approved repair schemes.
- Coordinate with Production Planning regarding components awaiting engineering disposition and identify technical risks affecting Estimated Completion Dates.
- Maintain visibility and status of all open OEM technical cases and provide regular updates during production meetings.
- Ensure OEM correspondence, repair schemes, damage reports and supporting technical documentation are properly recorded and traceable.
- Analyse recurring OEM requests for additional information and improve damage assessment standards, templates and reporting practices accordingly.
- Support the development of new repair capabilities by providing technical information and coordinating with OEMs where required.
- Ensure all Technical Services activities comply with applicable EASA Part-145 requirements, approved maintenance data and company procedures.
