Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a hands-on software development background to lead complex technical initiatives from planning through delivery. This role requires understanding code, architecture, APIs, databases, and integrations.

You will translate requirements into actionable technical plans, manage delivery across multiple teams, oversee sprint planning, and keep stakeholders informed with clear progress and risk updates.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of professional experience in software development.
• At least 2 years of experience managing technical or software development projects.
• Ability to read, understand, review, and discuss code with developers.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, system architecture, databases, APIs, integrations, version control, testing, and deployment.
• Experience managing Agile or Scrum-based development teams.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Monday.com, Asana, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects from initial requirements gathering through development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories, specifications, and development tasks.
• Create project plans, define timelines, assign responsibilities, and manage priorities across multiple projects.
• Coordinate the work of developers, designers, QA specialists, and other technical team members.
• Review technical solutions and provide input on architecture, integrations, database structures, and development approaches.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions when required.
• Monitor development progress, identify blockers, and resolve issues with the team.
• Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure projects follow development, testing, documentation, security, and deployment processes.
• Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Support troubleshooting and incident resolution for existing systems.
• Continuously improve project management and software development processes.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience as a software developer and be able to understand code, technical architecture, APIs, databases, integrations, and development workflows. They will work closely with developers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear technical plans, manage delivery, identify risks, and ensure projects are completed on time and to the required standard.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, application security, and infrastructure management.
  
• Experience managing distributed or remote development teams.
  
• Experience working with external clients and gathering technical requirements.
  
• Relevant project management or Agile certification is an advantage.
