Organization

The RAN (Radio Access Network) Performance organization is responsible for systemising, designing, implementing and testing 5G software features. The unit handles the baseband SW within the 5G product – one of the most complex embedded products in the world. We are creating a product responsible organization in Krakow, Poland, with one Layer 2/Scheduler section focused on 5G. We are looking for a technical leader who will help us develop 5G UPC SW (User Plane Control) and join our baseband scheduler department.

Responsibilities

• Support teams in development of new features for the 5G RAN
• Work with UPC SW architecture changes to prepare for the feature roadmap
• Review design solutions prior to implementation
• Participate and approve strategic/complex code reviews
• Define and maintain product development strategy and architecture integrity
• Work with improving general quality of Scheduler
• Drive domain module, submodule and function level test strategy
• Maintain, define and prioritise UPC domain care backlog
• Participate and support system study
• Support longer term prototyping and architecture initiatives

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience and knowledge in C/C++ programming
• At least 5 years’ experience in development of real‑time embedded systems
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• General programming skills an advantage, e.g. Python
• Knowledge of 5G and LTE (4G) standards (3GPP) an advantage
• Clean code programming style and mindset
• Experience in defining product architecture or complex implementation proposals appreciated
• MSc/BSc level in a technical subject area or equivalent knowledge
• Keen interest in long‑term evolution and success of the Baseband SW product
• Enjoy teamwork and be part of a global organisation
• Good English language skills in both writing and conversation required

Work Environment

We work in a hybrid model – 3 days from the office in Kraków weekly.
