Job summary

Arrive is seeking a full-time Tech Lead in Łódź to steer a full-stack engineering team through architectural decisions and delivery of a distributed system stack. You will mentor engineers, drive code quality, and collaborate with Product Managers to translate requirements into execution plans.

The role emphasizes Java/Kotlin expertise, Spring, Docker/Kubernetes, and modern data tooling (PostgreSQL, Snowflake). English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, building, and operating highly available distributed systems.
• Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Expert-level understanding of Spring Framework (Java) for backend in a microservice environment.
• Experience building and managing Docker/Kubernetes tools.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling with PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Experience with robust testing strategies (unit/integration/e2e) including BDD.
• Strong DevOps practices and end-to-end ownership of production services.
• RESTful API design and consumption experience.
• Front-end exposure with React/JavaScript.
• Database migrations with Flyway/Liquibase or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural direction for the team.
• Mentor engineers to foster technical excellence and collaboration.
• Lead analysis and improvement of complex backend logic for new requirements.
• Drive code reviews to ensure high-quality, scalable code.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate requirements into plans.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Help reduce technical debt by enforcing best practices.
• Oversee product support and on-call duties, handling incidents.
