Job summary

Nordea Bank Abp is seeking a hands-on GCP Cloud Engineer to join the Data Mesh and AI Platforms team in Poland. You will design, build, test and improve GCP platform patterns, automation and security controls to enable data and AI solutions in a regulated banking environment.

The role offers a full-time permanent contract with hybrid working (up to 40% remote). We expect to hire in Gdańsk or Gdynia, Poland, with options in Copenhagen or Helsinki.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building/operating production-grade GCP infrastructure.
• Strong Terraform and automation skills with reusable module design.
• Solid understanding of IAM, security controls, secrets management, and access patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and modern software engineering practices.
• Familiarity with Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage and related services.
• Ability to work in a regulated enterprise environment with auditability.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and improve GCP foundations using Terraform and pipelines.
• Implement reusable IaC modules for projects, networking, IAM, secrets, logging and monitoring.
• Support secure GCP landing-zone patterns and environment isolation.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for provisioning, validation, deployment and lifecycle management.
• Implement identity and access patterns including federation and least-privilege IAM.
• Support GCP data/AI platform enablement (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
• Build observability and operational controls using Cloud Logging/Monitoring and runbooks.
• Translate platform priorities into backlog items and technical docs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, governance and architecture teams.
