Job summary

GFT Poland is seeking a Tech Lead AI Engineer in Kraków to drive the design and delivery of AI-powered applications. You will work on large-scale solutions for financial services, shaping architecture, data flows and AI strategy.

You will lead with 5+ years of Python experience, strong FastAPI skills, and hands-on ML expertise, including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases. Hybrid work and a robust benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Python development experience.
• Strong experience with FastAPI and Python ecosystems.
• Hands-on ML experience, model evaluation, and Generative AI knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered applications and services using Python and FastAPI.
• Build and optimize GenAI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, embeddings and vector databases.
• Create and maintain agentic AI workflows using LangGraph and DeepAgent frameworks.
• Integrate MCP tools and external services into AI ecosystems.
• Design scalable API-based architectures and backend services.
• Develop and maintain solutions using CosmosDB and PostgreSQL.
• Perform model evaluation and improve AI solution quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Apply modern software engineering practices throughout the SDLC.

Salary range: 18800 - 28900 PLN gross

What will you do?

You will join a team delivering large scale solutions for the financial services sector, supporting digital transformation, process automation, data integration, and application modernization initiatives. In this role, you will design and build AI-powered applications, collaborate with business and technology stakeholders, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions within a highly regulated environment.

• Design and develop AI-powered applications and services using Python and FastAPI
• Build and optimize GenAI solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, embeddings and vector databases
• Create and maintain agentic AI workflows using LangGraph and DeepAgent frameworks
• Integrate MCP tools and external services into AI ecosystems
