Bolt is seeking a Tax Manager to provide day-to-day tax support across direct and indirect taxes, with a strong focus on Poland and Central/Eastern Europe. You will work closely with Finance, Legal and Audit teams to ensure tax compliance and strategic tax planning.

The role offers exposure to multinational operations, collaboration across business verticals, and opportunities to impact tax strategy during rapid expansion. Hybrid work model and competitive compensation are provided.

Qualificações

• Proven experience in corporate, indirect, and international tax.
• Strong knowledge of Polish tax matters and transfer pricing.
• Good general accounting and finance skills with tax compliance experience.
• Educational background in tax, law, accounting, finance, economics; AI/finance tools a plus.

About The Role

As part of the Bolt Tax team, the Tax Manager will provide day to day tax support to the business during a period of rapid expansion and development, while helping ensure compliance with local and internationally applicable tax rules. This role will focus on Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries, with a strong emphasis on Polish tax matters. You will work closely with Business Verticals, as well as teams across Finance, Commerce, Treasury, Legal, and Internal Audit.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Provide timely tax support across direct and indirect tax matters, including reviewing and determining tax set up for countries where Bolt operates, with a focus on compliance and tax efficiency.


• Proactively support business expansion by analysing and helping define optimal tax structures for new and evolving markets in the region.


• Manage tax audits, disputes, and information requests from tax authorities in close cooperation with the wider Tax team.


• Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to support uncertain tax position analysis and help ensure tax is correctly reflected in local and regional financial statements.


• Manage external tax service providers and work with compliance providers and statutory auditors on tax related matters, while staying current on tax law developments across relevant countries.

About You

• Proven experience in corporate, indirect, and international tax, ideally gained in industry and or consultancy environments working with multinational groups.


• Strong knowledge of Polish tax matters, as well as solid understanding of direct tax, indirect tax, international taxation, and transfer pricing in a global organisation.


• Good general accounting and finance skills, with experience supporting tax compliance and financial statement accuracy.


• Relevant educational background in tax, law, accounting, finance, economics, tax administration, or a related field. Experience with AI and financial systems such as ERP, consolidation, or management reporting tools is a plus.


• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills, with an intellectually curious, collaborative, and constructive approach in a multicultural entrepreneurial environment.
