Aptiv PLC is offering a engineering internship in Kraków to support data pipelines and analysis across JIRA, MATLAB, Python, and requirements tools. You will develop visualizations and reusable notebooks, while learning systems engineering practices and AI-assisted workflows.
You will work part-time or full-time with hybrid onsite policy, using Linux tools, Git, and common data formats. English communication is required, with a team that values collaboration and growth.
Support engineering workflows by maintaining data pipelines and analysis tasks across JIRA, MATLAB, Python and requirement management tools. Deliver clear visualizations, help evolve internal analysis tools, and execute simple systems engineering activities. Leverage LLMs and basic AI agent concepts to boost productivity and quality.
Maintain and triage JIRA tickets
Download, organize, and version data files
Analyze datasets (logs from vehicle testing and simulation) using MATLAB and Python tools; produce summaries and notebooks.
Create clear, audience-appropriate visual charts/plots from MATLAB/Python outputs to monitor feature development metrics.
Compile findings into short reports (Markdown/Word/PowerPoint) with reproducible steps.
Check requirement status/coverage and maintain traceability.
Write and execute queries
Use LLMs assist data exploration and documentation while validating results.
Apply basic AI agent concepts (tool-use chains, task decomposition, prompt hygiene) to automate repetitive tasks (e.g., log triage, plot annotation).
Pursuing a BSc/MSc in Engineering.
Comfortable with Python (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib/Seaborn) and MATLAB (scripts, functions, plotting).
Demonstrated use of LLMs in coursework or projects (prompting, code explanation, critique).
Basic proficiency in terminal applications (bash, SSH, file permissions, file operations).
Clear communication of technical findings; ability to turn analysis into actionable visuals.
Experience with data formats (CSV, Parquet, HDF5, MAT files) and basic SQL.
Familiarity with AI
Compute: Linux, Windows; local dev via VS Code.
Languages: Python, MATLAB, shell (bash).
VCS & CI: Git (GitHub/GitLab), basic CI pipelines.
Tracking & Docs: JIRA, Confluence/Markdown, SharePoint/OneDrive.
LLMs: Approved enterprise LLMs for assisted coding/docs (with policy compliance).
Write reproducible analysis (scripts/notebooks + README + environment files).
Produce traceable visualizations (labeled axes, units, legends, data sources).
Internship during active studies; part-time (min. 20 hrs / week) or full-time (40 hrs / week).
Onsite/Hybrid as per team policy; fluent in English for documentation and reviews.
