Job summary

Inetum Polska sp. z o.o. is expanding its IT operations team to manage a large VoIP and Radius infrastructure across multiple environments. You will ensure stability, performance, and automated administration using Puppet and Debian-based clusters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• Several years of IT operations experience with FOSS/SRE.
• Strong Linux admin skills, especially in clustered environments.
• Experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
• Networking basics (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Automation scripting for operations (Bash, Python, Perl).
• Knowledge of virtualization (KVM, Proxmox, OpenStack) is a plus.
• VoIP & telephony knowledge (Asterisk, Kamailio) - a plus.
• Database admin (MySQL/MariaDB).
• Proactive, service-oriented mindset; good English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and enhance VoIP and Radius systems in high-performance data centers.
• Develop automated system management with Puppet and Debian clusters.

• Performance analysis to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Plan and execute feature rollouts and system updates.
• Regular maintenance: expansions, updates, upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a structured way; manage upstream tickets.
• Participate in on-call rotation with extra compensation.

Join our team as a key contributor responsible for the end-to-end operation of approximately 700 systems across TEST, AC1, PreLIVE, and LIVE environments. You will work in a highly automated, performance-driven infrastructure, ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of our VoIP and Radius platforms.

As part of our team, you will:

• Operate, maintain, and enhance VoIP and Radius systems within high-performance data centers
• Develop and improve automated system management using Puppet and Debian-based server clusters
• Drive projects within the VoIP and Radius environment across their full lifecycle - from design and implementation to deployment
• Perform performance analysis and optimization to ensure system efficiency and reliability
• Plan and execute rollouts of new features and system updates
• Carry out regular maintenance activities (system expansions, updates, upgrades)
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in a structured and goal-oriented manner
• Coordinate with upstream providers by creating and managing trouble tickets
• Participate in an on-call rotation (additional compensation provided)

You are an experienced IT professional with strong Linux expertise and a passion for open-source technologies. Ideally, you bring:

• A degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in IT operations (FOSS systems or Site Reliability Engineering)
• Strong expertise in Linux administration, especially with clustered environments
• Practical experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management)
• Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, UDP)
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl) for automation
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with virtualization (e.g. KVM, Proxmox, oVirt, OpenStack) - nice to have
• Knowledge of VoIP technologies and telephony systems (e.g. Asterisk, Kamailio) - a plus
• Experience with FreeRADIUS - a plus
• Knowledge of MySQL / MariaDB administration
• A proactive, service-oriented mindset and ability to quickly understand complex systems
• Good English skills (written and spoken); basic German is an advantage
