Job summary

GlobalLogic, a leading digital engineering partner, seeks a Mid-level Software Engineer to join our Platform Infrastructure Team in Poland. You’ll own kernel rebasing, QEMU tuning, and security hardware integration for bare-metal ARM compute nodes. Expertise in Linux kernel, ARM64, and virtualization will be essential.

You will contribute to cross-compiled build pipelines, work on TPM 2.0/vTPM integrations, and participate in debugging complex hardware-software stacks on ARM platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with strong kernel/low-level experience.
• Deep Linux kernel (v6.x) and ARM64 internals engineering background.
• Proficient in C, assembly, and low-level OS integrations.
• Extensive virtualization/security experience with KVM and QEMU, TPM 2.0/vTPM.
• Hands-on debugging with cross-compilers, GDB, JTAG, and trace tools.

Responsibilities

• Configure, patch, and build Linux kernel and QEMU for ARM hardware.
• Migrate and rebase x86 kernel patches for ARM Debian builds.
• Implement/test TPM 2.0 measured boot and vTPM integration.
• Set up cross-compilation pipelines (MBS/Jenkins) for QEMU/Linux/kernel modules.
• Debug complex hardware-software integration on ARM bare-metal lab machines.

We are seeking a Mid-level Software Engineer to join our Platform Infrastructure Team. The team is responsible for low-level operating systems, virtualization hypervisors, and custom Linux kernel builds powering our global cloud fleet. You will take ownership of kernel rebasing, QEMU tuning, and security hardware integration to bring up our new bare-metal ARM compute nodes.

Requirements

• Education & experience: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, plus heavy experience in kernel and low-level systems engineering.
• Kernel Expertise: Deep engineering background working with the Linux kernel (v6.x) and ARM64 architecture internals.
• System Programming: Mastery of C, assembly, and low-level OS integrations.
• Virtualization & Security: Deep experience with KVM and QEMU (specifically ARM-on-ARM nested virtualization), plus TPM 2.0 / vTPM integration.
• Debugging & Tools: Hands-on experience with cross-compilation toolchains, low-level debuggers (GDB, JTAG, trace tools), and bare-metal lab host bring-up.

Job responsibilities

• Configure, patch, and build the Linux kernel and QEMU for optimal security and performance on ARM hardware.
• Migrate and rebase existing x86 custom kernel patches to support the new ARM Debian build.
• Implement and test TPM 2.0 measured boot protocols and vTPM virtualization integrations.
• Set up cross-compilation build pipelines (MBS / Jenkins) for building QEMU, Linux, and kernel modules.
• Debug complex hardware-software integration issues directly on physical ARM bare-metal lab machines.
