Job summary

GlobalLogic seeks a mid-level Software Engineer to join the Platform Infrastructure Team. You will own kernel rebasing, tune QEMU, and integrate security hardware to bring up bare-metal ARM compute nodes.

The role focuses on low-level operating systems, virtualization hypervisors, and custom Linux kernel builds powering our global cloud fleet. Responsibilities include configuring and patching the Linux kernel and QEMU for ARM, migrating patches to ARM Debian, implementing TPM 2.0/vTPM, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field; heavy kernel and low-level systems experience.
Deep Linux kernel (v6.x) and ARM64 internals expertise.
Strong C and assembly with low-level OS integration skills.

Responsibilities

Configure, patch, and build the Linux kernel and QEMU for ARM hardware with security and performance in mind.
Migrate and rebase existing x86 patches to support the new ARM Debian build.
Implement and test TPM 2.0 and vTPM virtualization integrations.
Set up cross-compilation build pipelines for building QEMU, Linux, and kernel modules.
Debug hardware-software integration issues on physical ARM bare-metal lab machines.
