Job summary

GlobalLogic Inc. is seeking a Mid-level Software Engineer to join the Platform Infrastructure Team. You will own kernel rebasing, QEMU tuning, and security hardware integration to bring up new ARM compute nodes.

Responsibilities include patching the Linux kernel, migrating patches to ARM, and implementing TPM 2.0 measured boot and vTPM. You will also establish cross-compilation pipelines and debug hardware-software integrations on ARM hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with heavy kernel/low-level systems experience.
• Deep Linux kernel (v6.x) and ARM64 internals knowledge.
• Proficiency in C and assembly; low-level OS integrations.
• Extensive experience with KVM and QEMU, including ARM-on-ARM nested virtualization and TPM 2.0/vTPM integrations.

Responsibilities

• Configure, patch, and build the Linux kernel and QEMU for ARM hardware security and performance.
• Migrate and rebase existing x86 patches to the new ARM Debian build.
• Implement and test TPM 2.0 measured boot protocols and vTPM integrations.
• Set up cross-compilation build pipelines (MBS/Jenkins) for QEMU, Linux, and kernel modules.
• Debug complex hardware-software integration issues on ARM bare-metal lab machines.
