Job summary

Endego is seeking a System Engineer to drive requirements analysis for automotive lighting, collaborate across software, hardware, and validation teams, and ensure traceability and compliance with ASPICE. The ideal candidate has a strong electronics background, Polarion expertise, and a proactive, communicative approach.

You will work in a hybrid setup with some on-site workshops, engaging with international projects and diverse stakeholders in a dynamic engineering environment.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • Knowledge of electronics and basic electronic measurement principles.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a System Engineer role, preferably in automotive.
  • Good knowledge of Polarion is a must.
  • Familiarity with automotive lighting systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and software programming.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Team-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Knowledge of functional safety (FuSa / ISO 26262) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Clarification and analysis of customer and stakeholder requirements during RFQ phases and project execution.
  • Lead requirements review meetings with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Define and document system requirements for automotive lighting systems and features.
  • Plan and execute the requirements review and approval process.
  • Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, testable and traceable throughout the project.
  • Support system architecture development and documentation for automotive lighting systems using Draw.io and Polarion.
  • Coordinate requirements and interfaces between different engineering teams, competencies and suppliers.
  • Create and maintain requirements traceability reports, dashboards and project documentation in Polarion.
  • Ensure requirements traceability and consistency across project work products in ASPICE processes.
  • Support alignment of system requirements with customer specifications and vehicle-level requirements.
  • Cooperate closely with software, hardware, testing, validation and system engineering teams.
  • Contribute to development and continuous improvement of internal Systems Engineering processes, templates and methodologies.
  • Participate in system reviews, technical discussions and project meetings.
  • Maintain regular technical communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Support implementation, verification and validation of lighting system requirements on the target vehicle.
  • Participate in technical problem solving and analysis of lighting system performance.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • Knowledge of electronics and basic electronic measurement principles
  • At least 2 year of experience in a System Engineer role, preferably in automotive - is a must
  • Good knowledge of Polarion - is a must
  • Knowledge of automotive lighting systems, components and related technologies - nice have
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and software programming
  • Good command of English
  • Team-oriented approach and strong communication skills
  • Honesty and professionalism in relationships with the company, clients and cooperating partners
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office
  • Methodical approach to problem solving; basic knowledge of Python is an advantage
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Knowledge of functional safety (FuSa / ISO 26262) is an advantage
