You will implement and review bootloaders, hypervisor integration layers, and OS/BSP-level functionality. The role requires minimum 4 years in embedded or low-level development, strong C/C++, experience with bare-metal/RTOS/hypervisor environments, and fluent English for international collaboration.

THE WORK

Develop safety-relevant low-level software for SoC-based automotive platforms within a structured ISO 26262 software development process. Implement and review software components including bootloaders, hypervisor integration layers, and OS/BSP-level functionality. Implement and verify safety mechanisms defined by the safety architecture, including MPU configuration, error handling, watchdog management, and related platform safety features. Maintain traceability between requirements, implementation, verification activities, and test artifacts. Contribute to software unit design, interface documentation, and code reviews with a focus on functional safety, freedom from interference, and MISRA compliance.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office, depending on specific project circumstances. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders, and communities. HERE'S WHAT YOU’LL NEED

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE

• Experience with QNX Hypervisor or similar virtualization technologies.
• Knowledge of hardware safety features such as MPU, ECC, lockstep architectures, or comparable mechanisms.
• Experience with safety-critical software verification and validation activities.
• Understanding of automotive software development practices and functional safety concepts.
• Familiarity with MISRA compliance and safety-focused code review processes.
