Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Java/Kotlin developer to design, build and run microservices-based applications for global clients. You will work with Spring Boot, Hibernate and REST APIs across multi-cloud environments, with collaboration across QA and DevOps to ensure quality and reliable delivery.

The role offers agile teams, mentorship from experienced engineers, and flexible work location including remote, onsite at client offices, or time spent in an Accenture office.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial experience with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin).
• Proven experience with Spring ecosystem and automated testing (JUnit/JMockit/Cucumber).
• Databases with strong SQL; designing/consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitCI, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube, Git.
• Docker and basic Kubernetes familiarity.
• Fluent Polish and English for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and implement custom-based applications across industries using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to microservices architectures hosted in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure high software quality and reliable delivery pipelines.
• Work in an agile Scrum environment and participate in ceremonies; support process improvements.
• Flexible work location with remote/onsite options; 2–3 days weekly at client offices in Kraków/Wrocław.

THE WORK

Design, build and implement custom based applications for our clients across industries such as Finance, Telecommunication, Products and Resources, using technologies like Java 17+, Spring Boot. Contribute to designing and building microservices-based architectures hosted in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), depending on business requirements. Collaborate closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure high software quality, seamless delivery pipelines, and stable production operations. Work in an agile environment (Scrum), actively participating in ceremonies and supporting continuous improvement of team processes and ways of working. Enjoy flexibility regarding work location, which may include remote work, onsite work at client locations, or time spent in an Accenture office — depending on project specifics. (Here is work from client office 2-3 days per week in Kraków or Wrocław).

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

Real impact on the product and its roadmap – you will be part of a team responsible for product development, with room to experiment with new technologies and propose your own ideas or improvements to existing functionalities. At least 7 years of commercial experience working with JVM languages (Java, Kotlin)

• Practical experience with the Spring ecosystem (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate) and automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, JMockit or Cucumber.
• Experience with relational and non‑relational databases, strong SQL skills, and hands-on practice in designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitCI, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube and Git.
• Ability to work with Docker and basic familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Fluent Polish and English, enabling effective collaboration with international teams and active participation in discussions with stakeholders.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE

• Hands on experience in using AI in SDLC with tools like GH Copilot, Claude Code.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems architecture and technologies such as Apache Kafka.
• Deeper experience in designing microservices architectures in multi‑cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands‑on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace or the ELK Stack.
