Emerson Electric Co. is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to support the lifecycle and optimization of existing products.

You will tackle design, material selection, changes, qualification, and cost improvements while collaborating with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Testing Labs to meet quality and performance targets. You will join a team that values problem-solving, continuous improvement, and global project participation.

Qualificações

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of measurement tools and validation methods.
• Solid understanding of metals, elastomers, and plastics.
• Familiarity with machining, casting, and injection molding.
• Very good command of English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Provide engineering support for product design, performance, reliability, and problem-solving.
• Support Supply Chain with materials and components qualification and implementation.
• Collaborate with Design Laboratories on testing activities for product and materials.
• Identify alternative materials and components and support cost/availability improvements.
• Develop product optimization initiatives for cost, manufacturing efficiency, and lifecycle improvements.
• Lead and support ECN/ECO processes including documentation and implementation.
• Analyze data and processes to identify continuous improvement opportunities and risk reduction.
• Participate in cross-functional international projects and deliver engineering outcomes.
• Provide technical recommendations based on data, tests, and best practices.
