Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to support the lifecycle of existing products, focusing on design input, material selection, changes, qualification, and optimization. You will work with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Testing Laboratories to ensure quality, reliability, and cost targets.

You will drive product improvements, support change management, and contribute to global engineering initiatives that enhance competitiveness and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sustaining engineering or product optimization.
• Strong ability to read/interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to global functions on product design, performance, reliability, and problem-solving.
• Evaluate materials and components for qualification and implementation to improve availability and cost.
• Collaborate with Design Laboratories on testing activities and product/material validation.
• Lead and support engineering change management processes (ECN/ECO) across projects.
• Analyze data and processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and risk reduction.
• Participate in cross-functional international projects to deliver engineering deliverables and informed business decisions.
