Hitachi Energy Poland sp. z o.o. seeks a Supply Chain Engineering Specialist to bridge engineering, supply chain, and new product development.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or new product development environments.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, forging, welding, and surface treatment.
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and familiarity with PPAP and Lean Six Sigma.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Fluent in English and willing to travel to supplier locations as required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Supply Chain representative within new product development projects, ensuring alignment between engineering and supply chain objectives.
  • Drive supplier selection, qualification, and development activities for prototype and production components.
  • Manage sourcing and procurement of prototype materials, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and project teams to resolve technical, quality, and supply challenges throughout the development process.
  • Lead SCM-related project activities, including material planning, cost tracking, PPAP coordination, and documentation management.
  • Coordinate logistics, inventory, and forecasting activities to support prototype and development programs.
  • Partner with global category managers, manufacturing teams, and engineering stakeholders to leverage the best supplier network.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supplier performance, product quality, and supply chain efficiency.

The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Supply Chain Engineering Specialist and play a key role in bridging engineering, supply chain, and new product development activities.
