Job summary

Hiab is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Stargard, Poland, to ensure component quality on the assembly line and drive continuous supplier improvement. You will conduct supplier audits, manage non-conforming materials, and support cross-functional teams in NPD and PLC to implement engineering changes.

Daily tasks include processing supplier claims, applying 8D problem-solving, and safeguarding customer satisfaction through structured QA processes. Proactive travel for audits is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in quality or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of core quality tools (8D, FMEA, PPAP, 5WHY, 5W2H, Ishikawa).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier visits and audits, track KPI performance, and classify suppliers for quality.
• Ensure component quality on assembly lines and manage non-conforming material isolation.
• Process supplier claims from logging through root-cause validation (8D) and cost recovery.
• Collaborate with NPD and PLC to drive engineering changes.
• Apply structured tools to solve daily production issues and improve QA processes.
• Maintain quality systems docs and support production, sourcing and after-sales.

Your mission

As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will ensure component quality on the assembly line and drive continuous supplier improvement. You will play a hands‑on role in supplier management, root‑cause problem solving, and incoming material verification. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in New Product Development (NPD) and Product Lifetime Care (PLC), conducting supplier audits, managing non‑conforming materials, and safeguarding both internal and external customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier visits, perform quality audits, track KPI performance, and manage supplier classification to ensure high‑quality component delivery


• Ensure component quality on the assembly line, manage non‑conforming material isolation, organize reworks, and decide on stock inspections


• Process supplier claims from initial logging through root‑cause validation (8D) to cost recovery, ensuring permanent corrective and preventive actions


• Collaborate with product development, lifecycle, and problem‑solving teams to drive engineering changes


• Apply structured quality tools (5Why, Ishikawa, FMEA) to solve daily production issues and continuously optimize quality assurance processes


• Maintain quality systems documentation, prepare technical reports, and provide quality support to production, sourcing, and after‑sales departments.

What We Are Looking For

• Higher degree (preferably technical/engineering) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment


• Strong practical knowledge of core quality tools (8D, FMEA, PPAP, 5WHY, 5W2H, ISHIKAWA) and the ability to read technical drawings


• Excellent analytical thinking, accuracy, and hands‑on experience in root‑cause analysis and non‑conforming material management


• Proactive, team‑oriented mindset with high accountability and willingness to travel periodically for supplier audits and site visits


• Communicative English skills alongside proficiency in computer tools.
