Job summary

ICON Strategic Solutions is seeking a Site Activation Lead to drive start-up activities across sponsor partnerships. You will align client objectives with country/site distribution plans and manage day-to-day activation tasks to deliver quality outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years in clinical research start-up, strong project management, and a willingness to travel about 15%. You will lead cross-functional teams to ensure timelines, KPIs, and regulatory standards are met throughout the study

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Clinical Research environment focusing on Start-Up.
• Strong project management skills with regulatory and submission knowledge across multiple countries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel approx. 15%.

What You Will Do:

You will manage day-to-day site start-up and activation activities, supporting your team to deliver quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead clinical trial start-up activities, understanding client objectives and assisting in the development of plans for country and site distribution.

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of all aspects of site activation in assigned projects, ensuring adherence to sponsor timelines, expectations, and compliance with ICON/client KPIs, SOPs, and regulatory standards.

• Ensure that each project has a comprehensive site activation plan, conducting studies effectively in accordance with the plan.

• Lead sponsor initiatives such as kick-off meetings, bid defenses, project updates, status calls, and other key communications.

• Utilize project management skills to optimize performance and collaboration, ensuring successful study outcomes.

Your Profile:

You will have solid site start-up and activation experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in life sciences.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Clinical Research environment, focusing on Start-Up experience.

• Strong project management skills, with a deep understanding of regulatory and submission processes in various countries.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 15%)
