Job summary

Amentum is building a new Integrated Delivery Solutions team in Kraków and Warsaw and seeks a Structural Engineer/Projektant/Konstrukcji. You will lead structural analyses and design for steel and reinforced concrete, coordinating with multi‑disciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with EN, UK, and US standards while based in Poland.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (MSc/MEng preferred).
• Chartered or actively working toward chartership.
• 6+ years delivering structural design in regulated sectors.
• Experience with Eurocodes (EN 1990–1999) and UK governance is advantageous.
• Familiarity with US codes (AISC/ACI/ASCE) is an advantage.
• Proficiency with BIM workflows and structural tools (Robot, ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Revit, Tekla).
• Experience across design lifecycle stages and field support.
• BIM coordination exposure and CDE collaboration.
• Fluent English and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel and RC.
• Develop and own engineering deliverables: calculations, drawings, specs.
• Apply EN 1990–1993, EN 1997, EN 1998, and BS standards as relevant.
• Conduct global and local analyses (static, dynamic, stability, fatigue).
• Improve design quality and constructability through value engineering.
• Coordinate with Architecture, Civil, Geotechnical, MEP, Fire, Safety, Construction.
• Review colleagues' work; mentor less experienced engineers.
• Provide site/field support (RFI responses, non-conformances).
• Ensure QA/QC and maintain design records per IDS governance.
• Collaborate BIM-enabled workflows; review structural models; support CDEs.
