Job summary

AFRY is expanding in Poland and seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to join the Water & Environment team. You will design civil structures for wastewater treatment plants, coordinate with process engineers and BIM modelers, and ensure compliance with SIA/HOAI.

Hybrid work and collaboration within an international team are offered. The role requires 3–5 years in structural engineering, English proficiency, and strong BIM skills including openBIM and BIMCollab.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of structural engineering with 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Team player with multidisciplinary interests; willing to learn mechanical/electrical basics.
• Excellent English skills (B2–C1).
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Solid BIM Methodology knowledge (openBIM) and collaboration tools (BIMCollab).
• Solid software skills for structural calculations (SOFiSTiK, TEKLA, ALLPLAN).

Responsibilities

• Design civil structures for wastewater treatment plants (reinforced concrete).
• Perform basic sizing from process engineers; lead design and collect information from machinery and M&E equipment and HVAC/EMCR.
• Follow design stages per Swiss SIA and German HOAI (concept to detailed design).
• Design civil works with BIM methodology alongside BIM modelers.
• Participate in meetings and video conferences; report to Project Managers.
