Job summary

VELUX Commercial seeks a Team Leader, Strategic Sourcing in Września, Poland. You will lead an international team of strategic buyers and own end-to-end sourcing activities across multiple categories.

You will drive category strategies, negotiate agreements, and collaborate with Product Development, Operations, and Finance to ensure value, sustainability, and continuity. Fluency in English and a hands-on, results-driven approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience, ideally in an international or matrix organisation.
• Strong track record in supplier negotiations, category strategy development, and contract management.
• Experience managing both direct and indirect spend categories.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Experience building or developing teams is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop an international team of Strategic Buyers across Poland and Denmark.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect spend categories.
• Own key sourcing categories and manage end-to-end sourcing activities from market analysis to contracting.
• Develop category strategies focused on cost, quality, innovation, and sustainability.
• Negotiate supplier agreements creating long-term value and manage indirect spend areas like services and software.
• Partner with Product Development, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Sustainability teams.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and drive continuous improvement and digitalisation.
